What are Stress Risk Assessments?
A stress risk assessment is a document used to assess the risk of work related stress.
They can be used with:
- individuals
- departments
- entire organisations
They are similar to risk assessments for physical health risks, and are covered by the same legislation.
Why should I use them?
Stress can trigger or worsen both physical and mental health conditions. Preventing work related stress can:
- lead to better performance
- reduce the risk of absences from work
Ethically it’s important to protect employee health, wherever possible.
Employers, CEOs, HR professionals and line managers have a legal duty to reduce the risk of work related stress.
