Trying to prevent overwhelm
We can all relate to the challenges of being given too much information or being asked to do lots of things at once. It’s easy to shut down, panic or forget what you are being told.
By staying aware of how much information we are trying to communicate or how much we are asking, we can prevent feelings of overwhelm and escalation. Some children can only retain small amounts. By simplifying our language, so we are communicating clearly, our children will grow in confidence and self esteem.
